We want to send the biggest, warmest THANK YOU to the amazing Seniors in Service Tampa Bay volunteers who joined us for our third annual STEAM Day at the Lealman Exchange — especially the beloved classroom grandmas.

These incredible women brought not only their helping hands, but also their hearts, their patience, and their never-ending encouragement to our event. Whether it was guiding curious minds through science stations or cheering on young inventors, they showed up with the same energy and dedication they bring to classrooms across the county all year long.
Seniors in Service classroom grandmas each contribute up to 25 hours a week tutoring K–3rd grade students—right in the classroom, alongside the same teacher, for the entire school year.

They are more than volunteers—they’re mentors, cheerleaders, extra sets of eyes, and calm voices in the chaos. In short: they’re community heroes.

We’re honored they could be part of our STEAM Day celebration and share their magic with even more students.
