For many, navigating the numerous resources and services available to individuals and families in need can be a daunting task. The Community Navigator role is designed to provide individuals and families with information and guidance on and specific information about how to access services.
The new Community Navigator role was created through a partnership between the St. Petersburg Foundation and St. Pete Free Clinic to help people in the Lealman community get the support they need with healthcare, housing, employment, education, nutrition, and much more.
The Community Navigator’s office at the Lealman Exchange is open for walk-in appointments from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. You can also schedule an appointment by calling 727-821-1200 ext 800 or emailing Lealman@thespfc.org.
Visitors to the Lealman Exchange can now monitor their blood pressure and weight with the addition of a new Higi machine.
The machine, located in the Exchange’s front lobby and free to use, is equipped with a blood pressure cuff, a scale, and a BMI calculator. The Higi machine has a large potential to make a positive impact on residents’ lives by helping them better monitor their vital statistics. Using the machine anonymously allows users to check their stats in a few minutes. The real benefit of the machine comes from creating a profile that will keep track of health stats over the long term. Folks who use the machine can email or download their stats to a mobile device to share with their doctor.
Use the Higi machine for free, no appointment necessary, from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Learn more about the Higi machine and its benefits by clicking here.
