Come join us and learn American Sign Language (ASL) with a Deaf teacher — Family Center on Deafness’s very own Sally Shortz. Sally grew up in Indiana and graduated from the Indiana School for the Deaf. She has been teaching ASL for over 30 years, at Dixie Hollis High School, Clearwater High School, St. Petersburg College and now, Family Center on Deafness. Sally is truly grateful for the rewarding opportunities she has every day to teach ASL. She believes teaching can truly make a difference in everyone’s life.
