Ikebana (ee-kay-bah-nah) is the Japanese word for the art of Japanese flower arranging. A free translation might be “bringing flowers to life.” Ikebana arrangements capture nature through the designer’s eyes and provide uniquely beautiful glimpses of something magical. It is an art form that will challenge your creativity!
Program meetings run from September to May, typically on the 3rd Monday of the month. Doors open at 9:30 am and Programs begin at 10 am followed by bring-your-own lunch . Workshops are usually provided in the afternoon. Guests may attend 2 programs.
The August Zoom, the Petals and Vessels collaborative mini-exhibition, the Warehouse District art in bloom mini-exhibition, the January Exhibition and the March Luncheon are special events and are open to the public.
